CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Dartmouth men's soccer team dropped its final match of the 2022 season, falling to Harvard by a score of 3-0. The Big Green and Crimson entered half time in a scoreless tie, but a trio of goals for Harvard gave the home team the victory in the regular season finale.
The statistics tell the tale of an evenly contested match between the Big Green and Crimson. Both squads registered 18 shots, with Harvard putting eight on goal compared to Dartmouth's seven shots on goal.
A relatively clean match, one yellow card was distributed to freshman

Costi Christodoulou recorded five saves over the course of the afternoon. Oskar Nilsson registered a seven-save clean sheet for Harvard.
The first half saw Dartmouth put pressure on Harvard in the early stages of the match.
Trevor Gee challenged Nillsson twice in the first 18 minutes of the match, while the Crimson were unable to register a shot on goal until the 26th minute.
Harvard made a wave of substitutions between the 31st and 34th minutes of the first half, but Dartmouth continued to apply pressure down the stretch.
Louis Weisdorf sent a shot toward Nilsson in the 40th minute, which was corralled by the keeper. The first half saw Dartmouth record seven shots to Harvard's four.
The Crimson took the lead just 1:41 into the second half, as Alessandro Arlotti, Harvard's leading scorer, gave his team a 1-0 lead. Christodoulou made a save moments later to keep Dartmouth within striking distance.
Dartmouth's deficit was doubled in the 58th minute, as a corner kick for Harvard led to a goal for James Fahmy.
Eric Sachleben made an attempt to cut into Harvard's lead, which was stopped by the keeper. On the counterattack, Matus Vician gave the Crimson a 3-0 lead in the 79th minute of play.
A late surge of offense from Dartmouth did not result in a goal for the Big Green as Harvard cruised to a 3-0 win. Harvard improved to 46-40-10 against Dartmouth in the all-time series.
