HANOVER, N.H. — Sam Fenton,
Louis Weisdorf,
Oskar Magnusson,
Eric Sachleben and
Garrett Scott of the Dartmouth men's soccer team received All-Ivy recognition, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Fenton, Weisdorf, Magnusson and Sachleben each earned All-Ivy honorable mention status. Additionally, Scott was honored as an academic team member.
Fenton was a staple on the back end for Dartmouth throughout his freshman campaign. He appeared in all 16 matches for the Big Green, making 15 starts. Fenton led Dartmouth in minutes played, establishing himself as one of the team's strongest players. He scored a goal in Dartmouth's final home match against Brown on November 5 and played all 90 minutes 11 times over the course of the season.
Weisdorf earns All-Ivy recognition for the second time in his career, as he was a 2021 Second Team selection. Starting all 14 matches he competed in, Weisdorf was a reliable asset for the Big Green on both sides of the field. Dartmouth consistently relied on Weisdorf to take free kicks and corner kicks, finishing the season with a goal and two assists. His best performance of the season came in Dartmouth's 3-2 win over Yale, where he scored a goal and added an assist.
Magnusson made an immediate impact during his freshman season, as he finished the year with five assists, the most of any Dartmouth player. He appeared in 15 matches, making seven starts. A key distributor of the ball, he registered assists in matches against Niagara, Stonehill, Hartford and Brown. Magnusson scored the first goal of his career on October 29 on the road against Cornell.
Sachleben served as one of Dartmouth's senior leaders during his final season with the Big Green. He saw action in 15 matches, making eight starts. Sachleben contributed three points against Ivy League opponents, including a game-winning goal in Dartmouth's 1-0 win over Columbia at home. He earned Academic All-District 1 honors from College Sports Communicators following the 2022 season.
Scott earned Academic All-Ivy honors for the first time in his career. The fifth-year defender made 13 appearances and 11 starts for the Big Green. He scored Dartmouth's first goal of the season, a game winner against Niagara on September 2.
