TROY, N.Y. — Dartmouth (9-19-1, 3-18-1 ECAC Hockey) defeated RPI (9-23-0, 5-17-0 ECAC Hockey) on the road by a score of 3-1, Saturday afternoon to close out the regular season. Three different Dartmouth players scored in the win.
Dartmouth scored the first goal of the game 13 minutes into play and took the early 1-0 lead. King found the back of the net from the point and junior forward
Currie Putrah assisted on the play. The Big Green held onto their 1-0 lead as they headed into the first intermission
The Big Green offense went to work to start the second period. Freshman defender
Kenzie Bachelor scored six minutes into the period. Less than 30 seconds later, sophomore forward
Tiffany Hill extended the lead to 3-0. The Engineers got on the board at the halfway mark to cut the lead to 3-1 and that was the score line headed into the third.
The third period started slowly. Dartmouth went on the power play twice in the first 12 minutes but was not able to convert on either opportunity. Both sides went back and forth but neither side broke through again. Freshman goalie
Maggie Emerson made 31 saves on 32 shots in the 3-1 victory.
The win concluded the season for the Big Green and they will be back in action this upcoming fall.
