Track and Baseball Supplied This Week's Top Talent
The 2021-22 season is coming to a close but the athletes continue to put forth their best efforts in every event. First year track athlete Julia Reglewski won the shot put at the New England Championship las weekend. Senior Kade Kretzschmar spoiled the weekend for the Lions of Columbia. He hit a home run in a win that ended Columbia's 19-game winning streak.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named The Richards Group Athletes of the week.

Kade Kretzschmar, Sr., Carlsbad, Calif., OF, Baseball
Â
A 6-2, 205-pound senior from Carlsbad, California, Kretzschmar played an integral role in the Big Green ending the Lions' 19-game winning streak and helping Dartmouth take two of three to win its sixth of seven Ivy League series this year, not to mention deny Columbia the outright regular-season title and the opportunity to host the Ivy Championship Series this week. His three-run home run in the seventh inning of the series opener gave the Green their first lead of the game at 7-5, one they never relinquished in the 11-8 victory.

Freshman Julia Reglewski of the women's track and field team shined at the New England Championships over the weekend. Reglewski won the shot put with a throw of 15.00m and finished third in the discus throw with a mark of 46.38m.
