HANOVER, N.H. — Head coach
Liz Keady Norton of the Dartmouth women's hockey team has announced that Max Gavin has joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach. He will begin with the Big Green on June 1.
Gavin arrives in Hanover after spending the 2021-22 season as the Director of Hockey Operations for the University of Vermont men's hockey team. Prior to Vermont, Gavin served as the head coach for the Powassan Voodoos of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) from 2018-2020.
A 2017 graduate of Adrian College with a degree in communications, Gavin was a four-year player for the men's hockey team (ACHA), culminating in a first-place finish in their division and finishing top-4 in the country. Gavin returned to his alma mater from 2015-2018, serving as the head coach for the ACHA-D3 team and as an assistant coach for the ACHA-DI team.
Gavin holds a High Performance 1 Coaching Certification from Hockey Canada and is the Co-Founder of the Vermont Youth Hockey Camps.
