Jamie Insel, Victoria Lux and Colleen Corcoran join the Big Green
HANOVER, N.H. — Gail Koziara Boudreaux '82 and Family Head Coach of Women's Basketball Adrienne Shibles has announced the addition of Jamie Insel, Victoria Lux and Colleen Corcoran to her staff.
Insel joins the staff as the recruiting coordinator for Shibles while Lux will serve as a volunteer assistant and Corcoran comes in as the director of basketball operations.
Jamie Insel
Insel arrives in Hanover from NESCAC powerhouse Tufts. While with the Jumbos, she served as the assistant coach for women's basketball, earning the 2020 WBCA Division III Assistant Coach of the Year and recognition as a WBCA Thirty Under 30 honoree (given to 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches age 30 and under in the sport at all levels of the game). She helped guide the Jumbos to their longest winning streak in program history during the 2019-20 season, totaling 26 wins and an undefeated regular season.
Prior to Tufts, Insel spent time as an assistant coach at Colby College (2017-2019) and MIT (2014-17). She was a four-year member of the women's basketball team at Assumption and named to the 2012-13 NE-10 All-Tournament team. She graduated from Assumption in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in management and received an MBA from Thomas College in 2020.
"I am thrilled to welcome Jamie Insel to the Big Green family!" Shibles said. "She possesses every quality I was searching for in this recruiting coordinator position, and I am beyond excited to work with her. Jamie's experience at high academic institutions and her proven ability to recruit for some of the best programs in the nation will be an asset. More importantly, she is a phenomenal coach and person who values relationships, and is invested in the development of the student-athletes with whom she works."
Victoria Lux
Lux comes to Dartmouth after spending the 2021-22 season as the women's basketball assistant coach at MIT. She also spent two years at Regis College before her stint at MIT as the graduate assistant coach for the women's basketball team, receiving a master's degree in sports communications along the way.
A 2019 graduate of Bentley University with a bachelor's degree in business management with a concentration in leadership, she was a four-year member of the Falcons' women's basketball team under the guidance of Hall of Fame coach Barbara Stevens. Lux played in the NCAA Tournament all four years, including a trip to the Final Four during the 2015-16 season. Lux went on to play with the New England Trailblazers of the Women's American Basketball Association (WABA) during the 2021-22 season.
"We are fortunate to add Victoria Lux to our Big Green staff!" Shibles commented. "Her experience at MIT and Regis, combined with her stellar career at Bentley, make her a tremendous fit for our program. Victoria's energy, passion for the game and talent for developing post players are strengths that will benefit our squad immensely. I look forward to working with her!"
Colleen Corcoran
Corcoran joins the Big Green staff after spending the last two years as a graduate assistant coach for the women's basketball team at Albany, where she received her master's degree in higher education. Prior to her initial work as a collegiate coach, Corcoran graduated from Le Moyne College in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in communications. She was a four-year member of the women's basketball team, serving two years as captain and spending three years on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Corcoran is a member of the WBCA and participated in the 2021 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar and the 2022 Women's Leadership Forum.
"Colleen has an incredible foundation of professional experience, having worked for Coach Mullen at Albany for two years," Shibles said. "Beyond that, she has the positive energy and passion for the work that make her a tremendous fit for this program. I am so excited to welcome her to the DWB family!"
