NEW ORLEANS — The Dartmouth women's track & field program was recognized on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The women's program was honored as a 2022 All-Academic Team. To earn the distinction, a team must post a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the entire year.
The Big Green posted a 3.504 GPA, the fourth-best mark by any of the seven Ivy League teams to make the list.
In addition to the All-Academic team honors, Dartmouth's
Lily Lockhart,
Anoush Krafian and
Julia Fenerty were recognized as 2022 USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes. All three were recognized for the honor as they met the criteria of at least a 3.25 GPA. Additionally, they needed to have finished the season in the top 96 for any championship individual event or in the top 48 in any championship relay event (indoor season), or participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships during the outdoor season or for the multi-events, must have finished ranked in the top 48 in the East or top 48 in the West.
Lockhart, an environmental studies major, earns the honor after finishing ranked 58
th in hammer throw during the indoor season. Krafian, a captain and a neuroscience major, ranked 41
st in the heptathlon during the outdoor season to earn the recognition. Finally,
Julia Fenerty, a government major, competed in the 800m race at the NCAA East Regional during the outdoor season.
