HANOVER, N.H. — Senior co-captain
Emma Koch and junior
Carrington Washburn were both named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The organization, formerly known as CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Koch, who holds a 3.87 grade point average as an engineering sciences major, has appeared in all 26 games, including 24 starts. The Iowa City, Iowa native is the Big Green's leading rebounder, grabbing 6.7 boards per game. Only three players around the Ivy League have more games with 10 or more rebounds than Koch, who has tallied double digits eight times this season. She pulled down a career-high 13 in a win over Merrimack on Nov. 16 and later grabbed a career-best nine offensive rebounds at Yale on Feb. 4. Koch ranks top-five in the Ancient Eight with 59 total offensive boards.
Washburn, an environmental studies major from Brentwood, Tennessee, holds a 3.58 grade point average and has appeared in 17 games during her junior campaign. She scored a season-high nine points against UC Irvine during the Beach Classic in Long Beach, California and went 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, becoming one of just six Ivy League players this season with a perfect 3-point shooting percentage on three or more attempts in a single game.
The pair are Dartmouth's first All-District honorees since Annie McKenna, who earned the honor following the 2019-20 season. 16 Ivy League players were recognized this season and Dartmouth was one of five with multiple selectees.
Koch and Washburn will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Results will be announced in March.
