HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth sailing team took the waters at three team races over the weekend. The Big Green was successful at all three events, including its first interconference team race regatta victory since 2017.
The Big Green secured first place at the Admiral Moore Open Team Race, hosted at Kings Point.

Maddie Hughes represented the program well, picking up a crucial victory.
Dartmouth finished the event with a 15-2 record and was especially dominant beyond the opening round. The Big Green went 5-0 in the top-six round and closed the competition with a 3-0 sweep of Brown, Penn and Navy to secure the event win.

Justin Assad said. "Our open team came together with disciplined sailing in challenging conditions and rose to the challenge when the opportunity to win was on the line."
Dartmouth was well represented at the Jen Harris Team Race, named after a former Navy student-athlete was killed in action when the CH-46 Chinook Helicopter she was piloting was shot down in Baghdad, Iraq in 2007.

Taylor Eastman claimed second in a competitive field of eight programs. The Big Green exchanged race wins against regatta winner Tulane, finishing the weekend with a record of 8-2.
"Our womens demonstrated success and we are thrilled for them to continue their trajectory this season," Assad said. "We hope to be in contention for the Ivy championship and the national championship at the end of April."
The Big Green also competed at the Harvard Team Race over the weekend, finishing the regattas in fourth place. Nicholas Hurley,

Dartmouth is back in action in four regattas this weekend. The Big Green will set sail at the Dellenbaugh Team Race, hosted by Brown, the Marchiando Team Race, hosted by MIT and the Jumbo Team Race, hosted by Robert Morris. Dartmouth will also take part in the BU Trophy regatta.
