HANOVER, N.H. — The Ivy League announced its six-game package of football games that will be broadcast on ESPN linear networks this fall, and Dartmouth's home matchup with Princeton at Memorial Field is among the contests that will be televised. The game will be played on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.
The Big Green shared the 2021 Ivy League title with the Tigers and have won nine of the last 12 meetings — five straight in Hanover — though Princeton edged Dartmouth in New Jersey last year by a 17-14 final. This matchup has been a popular one for networks with five of the last seven showdowns appearing on regional or national television, including the 27-10 Big Green triumph at Yankee Stadium in 2019. The two teams have squared off on TV eight times in all, splitting the contests at four wins apiece.
At least seven of the other nine games on the Dartmouth schedule, including all six remaining Ivy League contests, will be streamed live on ESPN+ as well.
Dartmouth, which has won a league-record 20 Ivy League titles, is coming off a 3-7 campaign with a 2-5 mark in the Ancient Eight, only its second year under .500 in the last 11 seasons.
Notes: The Big Green appeared on national or regional television four times last year, going 2-2 with victories over Columbia on the road and Brown at home … Dartmouth has played 114 times on national or regional television since its first appearance in 1953, going 49-64-1 all-time in those televised games.
