
Alums Bub and Reckford Named to USRowing Senior National Teams

Bub earned a spot on the men’s eight while Reckford was named to the women’s quadruple sculls
HANOVER, N.H. — A pair of Dartmouth rowing alums will represent the Red, White and Blue at the 2023 World Rowing Championships, as announced on Sunday. Oliver Bub '20 was named to the men's eight, while Molly Reckford '15 was named to the women's quadruple sculls. The 2023 World Rowing Championships are set for Sept. 3-10 in Belgrade, Serbia, marking the first opportunities for countries to qualify boats for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Bub is a 2020 graduate of Dartmouth's men's heavyweight rowing program, and has continued to excel post-college. Bub served as an alternate at the 2022 World Rowing Championships and also finished 10th in the pair at the 2015 World Rowing Junior Championships. While at Dartmouth, Bub finished ninth in the varsity eight at the 2018 IRA National Championships, placing 11th a year later at IRAs.

Reckford has extensive experience in international rowing. The 2015 Dartmouth graduate competed in the 2020 Olympic Games, finishing fifth in the lightweight double sculls. She then won the lightweight double sculls at the 2021 World Rowing Final Olympic Qualification Regatta. Reckford most recently won The Stonor Challenge Trophy for double sculls at the 2022 Henley Royal Regatta, among many awards and accolades. Last year, Reckford won silver in the lightweight double sculls at the 2022 World Rowing Championships.
