Big Green Jump into National Rankings After Overtime Win

Dartmouth comes in at No. 22 and 24, respectively
HANOVER, N.H. — Following a thrilling 44-43 overtime win over Yale Saturday, the Dartmouth football team jumped into a pair of national polls, standing 22nd in Monday's Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll and 24th in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll. It marks the first time since 2021 that the Big Green have been ranked.
Dartmouth finished the 2021 season 9-1 and was ranked through much of the year. Entering the final game of that season, the Big Green were 20th in the Stats Top 25 and 21st in the FCS Coaches Top 25.
The 2024 Big Green are coming off a thrilling 23-point comeback at Yale on Saturday, which was the largest comeback win in program history and largest in NCAA FCS football this season. Trailing 30-7 in the third quarter and 37-16 until midway through the fourth, Dartmouth scored 21 points over the final 7:30 of regulation to force overtime, where the Big Green were victorious.
Dartmouth stands 4-0 on the season for the first time since 2021 and 2-0 in the Ivy League. The Big Green return home on Saturday to host Central Connecticut State at 1 p.m. on Cheer Day and Education Appreciation Day. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
