Saunier Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

The sophomore quarterback had 360 yards of total offense and five touchdowns
HANOVER, N.H. — After helping lead the Big Green to their biggest comeback win in program history Saturday, quarterback Grayson Saunier was recognized with Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honors on Monday. In his first-career extended minutes, he finished 20-of-34 for 276 yards with three touchdowns through the air. He also added 12 carries for 84 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Dartmouth went on to beat Yale, 44-43 in overtime, for a critical Ivy League victory.

Saunier's 32-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter evened the score at 37. In the fourth quarter alone, he threw for 111 yards and rushed for 50 as the Big Green scored 21 straight points over the final 7:30 of regulation to force overtime. The 23-point comeback (trailing 30-7 in the third quarter) marked Dartmouth's largest-ever comeback victory while it was the largest comeback in the NCAA FCS this season.

The sophomore was also recognized as honorable mention among the Stats Perform FCS National Awards. Meanwhile, Micah Green and Micah Green were also named honorable mention on the Ivy League weekly honor roll.
Saunier's Ivy League honor is the Big Green's fourth weekly award of the season, following three straight special teams honors.
