ITHACA, N.Y. – The Dartmouth volleyball team fell to Cornell 3-1 this evening from Newman Arena in Ithaca.
Piper Stevens led the way with 10 kills and
Emma Engstrom tallied 20 digs.

The Big Green fall to 10-10 (3-7 Ivy League) and Cornell improves to 12-7 (6-4 Ivy League).Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:
SET ONE:
- Cornell held a consistent lead throughout the first set.
- The set saw five ties but a kill from Cornell gave them the set, 25-22.
SET TWO:
- The Big Red opened the set on a 4-0 run. Dartmouth went on their own 5-0 run with two aces from Gutz to go ahead 10-8.
- Dartmouth scored four late to take a 24-23 lead, but Cornell responded with three of their own to win the set, 26-24.
SET THREE:
- Cornell started on a 5-0 run to jump ahead early.
- The Big Green followed that with an 8-1 run taking an 11-10 lead.
- Dartmouth added five straight scores to go ahead 20-17. A kill from Stevens ended the set, 25-22.
SET FOUR:
- The teams exchanged points the majority of the set with the Big Red holding a slight lead.
- Cornell ended the set on a 12-2 run to win it 25-11. Â
