Hall and Dvoretskiy are this week’s stellar athletes
HANOVER, N.H. — In a week that featured plenty of strong performances and highlight moments, standout performances by Yan Dvoretskiy in the pool and Jensin Hall on the softball field are recognized as The Richards Group Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athlete – one male, one female – as Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Jensin Hall, Fy., Frisco, Texas, Softball
First-year standout Jensin Hall recorded 31 strikeouts across 20.1 innings pitched during the Big Green's six-game stretch in Louisville. Hall dealt a complete-game shutout against South Dakota with 11 strikeouts, having already fanned 10 in a win over Butler just two days prior. Hall currently ranks eighth in the nation in strikeouts per seven innings (10.2).
Yan Dvoretskiy, So., Salt Lake City, Utah, Men's Swimming and Diving
Part of the Big Green's strong finish to the 2023-24 season at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship, Yan Dvoretskiy won the 200 fly, set a program record in the 100 fly and was a key performer in additional program records in both the 400 free relay and 800 free relay. Dvoretskiy beat out several Power Five competitors to place first in the 200 fly and was less than a second from a program record, and narrowly missed qualifying for Olympic trials.
