MacDonald, Carson Participating in China-U.S. Exchange Program

HANOVER, N.H. – Two members of the women's basketball team, Cate MacDonald and Sierra Carson, are headed to China as part of the 2024 USA-China Basketball Team Exchange help at Tsinghua University in Beijing. MacDonald and Carson are joined by other Ivy League players from Columbia University, Harvard, MIT and the University of Pennsylvania.

"We are excited to have two of our student-athletes participating in the Exchange Program. This will give them unique experiences on the court as well as an opportunity to explore a different culture," said Head Coach Linda Cimino.

The objective of the program is to deepen the culture between China and the United States and to enhance basketball competitive levels and international perspectives as well as further cultivate sportsmanship among younger generations. In addition to basketball, MacDonald and Carson will also build communication, understanding, friendship and cooperation at Tsinghua University.
