HANOVER, N.H. — For a fourth straight season, the Dartmouth football team has placed eight student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District University Team, as announced on Tuesday. The honorees were Ejike Adele, Daniel Haughton, Tristan Holmbeck, Jackson Namian, Will Prince, Painter Richards-Baker, Konstantin Spörk and Owen Zalc. Spörk was named to the team for a third straight year, with Haughton earning a spot on the team for the second year in a row.
Â
To be considered, a student-athlete must have completed at least one full calendar year with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and participated in at least 90 percent of the team's games or started two-thirds of the contests. The District I team is comprised of athletes from New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont.
Â
All eight Big Green honorees have excelled in the classroom, along with on the field.

Adele has received a number of postseason honors, including being named to the FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team earlier on Tuesday. He was also a Bushnell Cup winner as the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, and a Stats Perform Third Team All-American. Meanwhile, Haughton led the Big Green in receiving yards (428) while finishing third in catches (27). Richards-Baker tallied 14 receptions for 260 yards and two touchdowns, including a 75-yarder at Merrimack. Namian finished the year with 10 catches for 94 yards. Zalc was named the Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Year, finishing 13-of-17 on field goals, including a program-record 54-yarder. Meanwhile, Holmbeck, Prince and Spörk all played important roles in the offensive line's success, placing top 20 nationally in fewest sacks allowed while finishing third in the Ivy League in rushing offense (166.5 yards per game). They helped pave the way for running back Q Jones, who was named first team All-Ivy as well.
Â
Adele, Spörk and Zalc been chosen as finalists for Academic All-America honors and will be on the ballot to be voted on by CSC members. The first-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Jan. 28, 2025.
