Women's Squash Opens 2025-26 With Weekend Split

HANOVER, N.H.—Dartmouth women's squash started the 2025-26 season over the weekend against Virginia and Middlebury. The Big Green fell 9-0 to Virginia in the season opener and earned their first win of the year with a 9-0 win over Middlebury.

The Big Green won just six games against the Cavaliers on Saturday. Ellie Clifford played in the third position and fell in the first two games but forced a fifth game with back to back 11-9 wins in the third and fourth games. She fell in the fifth game 11-7.

Nathalie Taylor forced five games in the seventh position. After falling 11-9 in the first game, she won the second game 13-11 and the third game 11-9. She fell in the final two games 11-4, 11-2.

Uma Patnaik played in the eighth position for the Big Green and forced five games. She fell in the first two games but responded with 11-8 and 11-9 wins in the third and fourth games. In the fifth game she fell 13-11.

Dartmouth vs Middlebury (W, 9-0)

Dartmouth dominated Middlebury on Sunday as the Big Green lost just two games during the match.

Maria Clara Ramiez played in the first position and won in four games. She took the first set 11-5 but won games three and four 11-9, 11-3 after falling 11-9 in the second game.

Xiang Xiang Liu won her first collegiate match in the second position on Sunday. She won the first game 11-4, after fall 12-10 in the second game she won the third and fourth games 11-8, 11-5.

Clifford won her first match of the season in the third spot. She won the first game 11-5 and then the second 11-3. She closed out the match with a 11-4 win in the third game.

Maya Shroff won in three games on Sunday in the fourth position. She took the opening set 12-10 before winning the second game 11-8 and the third game 11-6.

Maya Mansoor took home her first win of the season on Sunday in three games in the fifth position. She lost just seven points in the match as she won the first game 11-1, the second 11-6, and the third 11-0.

Kriti Muthu needed just 21 minutes to finish her match. She won the first game 11-4 and then took a 2-0 lead with a 12-10 win in the second game. She closed out the match with an 11-6 win in the third game.

Taylor won in the seventh position on Sunday in three games. She took the opening game 11-6 and then took a commanding lead with an 11-3 win in the second game. She completed the sweep with an 11-7 win in the third game.

Patnaik had a strong match in eights on Sunday as she notched her first win of the season. She won the first game 11-9 and then won the second game 11-5. In the third game she battled for a 13-11 win to secure the sweep.

Callie Worth played in the ninth position on Sunday and earned a three game win. She took the first game 11-7 and then the second game 11-8. She closed out the match with a 11-5 win in the third game.
