
MacDonald and Thomas Earn The Richards Group Athlete of the Week Honors

HANOVER, N.H. — Cate MacDonald of women's basketball and Kareem Thomas of men's basketball have been named The Richards Group Athletes of the Week.

Cate MacDonald, Jr., Lynnfield, Mass., Women's Basketball
Cate MacDonald scored a team-high 14 points on Saturday at New Hampshire. Eleven of those points came in the first half to help the Big Green stay within seven at the half. She added three rebounds, a steal and block. Saturday marked the fifth time this season MacDonald has scored in double figures and fourth time she's led the team in scoring.

Kareem Thomas, So., Wilmington, Del., Men's Basketball
Kareem Thomas had his fifth 20-point game of the season in Dartmouth's victory over Holy Cross, leading the Big Green with 24 points, and went 3-3 from beyond the arc. Thomas continued his success, scoring a team-high 19 points against Sacred Heart on Friday. The sophomore guard leads the Ivy League in 3-point field goal percentage (59.0) and has the second-most points in the league with 217 through 11 games, good for 19.7 per contest.
