Brand and Dartmouth Equestrian Earn The Richards Group Athlete of the Week Honors

HANOVER, N.H.—Dartmouth equestrian and Dartmouth men's golfer Tyler Brand are this week's The Richards Group Athletes of the Week.

Dartmouth Equestrian

The Dartmouth equestrian team earned the first NCEA Single Discipline National Championship in program history this weekend. The Big Green opened the weekend with a 6-4 win over No. 1 Lynchburg to advance to the National Championship. On Saturday, the Big Green edged out the College of Charleston on raw score (749.67-701.67) after each team earned five points between flat and fences. Samantha Takas, Elise Stephens, Cassidy Exner, and Chloe Terestchenko each earned points on fences while Riley Dickman earned a point in flat. Following the meet, Stephens was named the Most Outstanding Player and to the fences All-Championship Team.

Tyler Brand, Sophomore, Richmond, Va., Men's Golf

Brand tied for first at the ROAR-EE Invitational hosted by Columbia at Wiltwyck Country Club in Kingston, N.Y. He shot an impressive 66 in the first round and even par, 72, in the second round for a -6 on the day. He helped the Big Green to a third-place finish and topped the other Ivy League schools participating in the invitational. Brand's first place finish is the sophomore's third of the season.
