Liu Represents Dartmouth At CSA Championships

NEW YORK, N.Y.—Dartmouth women's squash player Xiang Xiang Liu played in the CSA Individual Championships this weekend in New York City.

Liu drew the third seed and took on the four seed in Vharshamithraa Dinesh from Tufts. Liu dropped the first two games 11-8 and 11-9 but extended the match with an 11-9 win in the third game. She fell in the fourth game 11-6.

She moved into the consolation bracket and played in a pair of matches. She won a five game match over a player from Dension. Liu won the second game 11-5, third game 11-6, and the fifth game 11-6. She notched her second win of the weekend against a player from Georgetown on Saturday. She won the first game 11-5 and took a 2-0 lead with an 11-5 lead in the second game. After falling in the third and fourth games, she secured the win with an 11-8 win in the fifth game.

The Big Green are back on the court this weekend with a pair of matches starting on Friday, Jan. 30 at Yale at 4 PM. Dartmouth then hosts Trinity on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 3 PM.
