CALGARY, Alberta – On Friday, Hockey Canada announced its women's hockey roster ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, Italy. Among those selected is current Montreal Victoire forward Laura Stacey '16.
The 2026 Olympics will be Stacey's third, after representing her country in both the 2018 and 2022 games, winning silver and gold respectively.
In her first Olympic Games appearance in PyeongChang in 2018, Stacey played in five games with one assist en route to a silver medal. In her second appearance in 2022 in Beijing, she appeared in seven games, scoring four goals and adding two assists for six total points to help the team to a gold medal.
Stacey has spent the last three years playing in the PWHL, a member of the inaugural Montreal Victoire and the first season of the league. She's played in 59 total games, tallying 23 goals and adding 24 assists for 47 total points. In nine games this season, Stacey has scored two goals and added five helpers.
In four seasons in Hanover, Stacey was dominant, playing 108 total games with 31 goals and 56 assists for 87 total points. She led the team in total points three times, as a first-year, junior, and senior and had the most assists of any Big Green player all four years.
Her junior season was her best offensively, scoring nine goals and adding 17 assists for 26 total points. Stacey tallied a point in all but six of her 26 games that season, scoring multiple points in six.
