Big Green To Play Five Home Games
HANOVER, N.H.-- Sammy McCorkle, the Robert L. Blackman Head Football Coach, announced the Big Green's 2026 football schedule on Friday. The schedule features a trio of non-conference games and seven Ivy League matchups as Dartmouth looks for its Ivy leading 23rd Ivy League Championship.
"We're looking forward to our 2026 season and are eager to get back on the field." McCorkle added. "Our strong non-conference schedule provides us with some good opportunities and the parity that exists in the Ivy League always makes it competitive week in and week out!"
The Big Green open the season by traveling south to take on defending Patriot League Champions Lehigh on Saturday, Sept. 19. The Big Green and Mountain Hawks last squared off in 2023 in Hanover, the Big Green won 34-17. Dartmouth last traveled to Bethlehem, Pa. to take on Lehigh in 1996 which ended in a 21-14 win for Dartmouth.
On Saturday, Sept. 26 the Big Green return to Buddy Teevens Stadium at Memorial Field for their home opener and Family Weekend against CAA foe Monmouth. It will be the first time in Dartmouth's 145 year program history that two teams have squared off.
Dartmouth Football opens Ivy League play against Penn on Saturday, Oct. 3 for Homecoming. Dartmouth has won three of the last five matchups with the Quakers including the last matchup in Hanover. The Big Green defeated Penn on Oct. 5, 2024 with a 20-17 final at home.
After being home for back-to-back games, the Big Green hit the road to take on Yale on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Yale Bowl in New Haven. Dartmouth has defeated the Bulldogs in back-to-back years with a pair of one point victories including a 44-43 overtime win in New Haven in 2024 and a 17-16 win in 2025 in Hanover.
Dartmouth closes out non-conference play at home against Merrimack on Saturday, Oct. 17. It will be just the second time the two teams have matched up with each other. The first meeting saw a 16-14 Dartmouth win in North Andover, Mass. in 2024.
Seven days later the Big Green travel to New York City to take on Columbia on Saturday, Oct. 24. Dartmouth holds a 74-20-1 record over the Lions since first facing off in 1899. The Big Green have won four straight games against Columbia including a 49-3 win last year at Buddy Teevens Stadium at Memorial Field.
On Halloween, the Big Green write the next chapter of their rivalry with Harvard at Buddy Teevens Stadium at Memorial Field. Following the game against Harvard, the Big Green hit the road for back-to-back games to close out the road schedule.
Dartmouth first travels south to take on Princeton on Saturday, Nov. 7 before traveling to Cornell on Saturday, Nov. 14. The Big Green have an all-time record of 54-46-4 against Princeton and have won the last three games and five of the last six matchups with the Tigers.
On Nov. 14, the Big Green closeout the road portion of their schedule in Ithaca, N.Y. as they take on Cornell. The two teams have split the last six games dating back to 2019. The Big Green defeated the Big Red 24-14 last season.
Dartmouth closes the regular season at home against Brown on Saturday, Nov. 21. Dating back to 2013, the Big Green are 10-2 while being 4-1 at Buddy Teevens Stadium at Memorial Field during that time.
The FCS Playoffs start on Nov. 28; it is the second season that Ivy League teams are eligible for the postseason. A national champion is set to be crowned on Monday, Jan. 4, 2027.
