HANOVER, N.H.—Maya Kendall of Dartmouth women's lacrosse and Nate Isler from Dartmouth baseball have been named The Richards Group Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes – one male athlete or team, one female athlete or team– as Athletes of the Week.
Maya Kendall, Sr. Denver, Colo., Women's Lacrosse
Kendall etched her name into the Ivy League record books on Saturday as she broke the career Ivy League record for draw controls with her 419th career draw against Cornell. The senior tallied 11 draw controls against the Big Red and seven earlier in the week against Mercer. She now has 420 career draw controls while being the nation's leader in draw controls per game at 12.70.
Nate Isler, Jr., Milton, Ga., Baseball
Nate Isler continued to impress, helping the Big Green to their first Ivy League win of the season. Isler tossed 9.2 innings giving up only two runs on nine hits. He walked two and fanned seven, only one shy of his season high in one outing. He now leads the Big Green with 30 innings pitched and 34 strikeouts, only six shy of 100 in his career.
