HANOVER, N.H.—Dartmouth football wrapped up the first week of spring camp on Saturday.
The opening week saw the Big Green on the field three times, despite moving the first practice to the Graham Indoor Practice Facility on Wednesday due to weather. The Big Green practiced at Buddy Teevens Stadium at Memorial Field on both Thursday and Saturday.
"The first week of spring ball is something we always look forward to, and you can tell how excited the players and staff were to be out on the field with helmets on! We had a good first three practices." Sammy McCorkle, the Robert L. Blackman Head Football Coach added.
The Big Green have several new faces on the coaching staff heading into the 2026 season and McCorkle was excited about the new schemes that are being installed.
"As new schemes continue to be installed, our attention to detail across the board needs to continue to improve while being fundamentally sound."
Dartmouth lost a number of contributors on both sides of the ball, but McCorkle was pleased with how younger players stepped up throughout the first week of spring camp.
"With a few new faces on the staff, and a number of young guys receiving more playing time, I liked our sense of urgency and was pleased with how the young guys were starting to step up and play with confidence. I have been pleased with how we have competed on every snap, in every drill with each practice."
The Big Green enter the second week of camp while looking forward to their spring game on May 9.
"Overall, I liked what I saw, and we know what we need to focus on moving forward."
Tomorrow, the work starts.
