Beauvais and Sirchia Named The Richards Group Athletes of the Week

HANOVER, N.H.—Marilyn Beauvais of Dartmouth softball and Tyler Sirchia of baseball have been named The Richards Group Athletes of the Week after outstanding weeks on the diamond.

Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes – one male athlete or team, one female athlete or team– as Athletes of the Week.

Marilyn Beauvais, Sophomore, Claremont, Calif., Softball

Marilyn Beauvais played a huge role all weekend in Dartmouth's series against Yale, batting .676 and helping secure an 11-3 run-rule victory over Yale on Sunday. Throughout the series, Beauvais went 4-for-6 with five RBIs, one run and 10 total bases. In Sunday's thrilling series finale, the sophomore catcher plated the game's first two runs with her second career triple and locked in the victory by launching a three-run homerun over the centerfield wall.

Tyler Sirchia, So., Armonk, N.Y. - Baseball

Tyler Sirchia was dominant at the plate this weekend, hitting .428 during the Big Green's conference weekend vs. Princeton. In two games, Sirchia went 3-for-7 at the plate and delivered the biggest hit of the year in the Big Green's 8-2 win over the Tigers. In the fifth inning with the bases loaded, Sirchia hit only his second home run of the year, a grand slam, to drive in four runs and secure the victory over Princeton.
