
Big Green Land 12 on CSC Academic All-District At Large Team

GREENWOOD, Ind.—College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its Academic At-Large All-District team on Tuesday. Dartmouth landed 12 student-athletes on the team: six females and six males.
In order to be eligible for the CSC All-District team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Each sport has different eligibility standards based on competition that can be found here.
Carly Elsinger | Women's Alpine Skiing | Environmental Studies
Elsinger was one of the Big Green's most consistent women's alpine skiers through the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) season, finishing in the top ten in five of her six slalom races, including a season high fifth-place finish at Colby. On the giant slalom, Elsinger finished in the top ten in each of the five races she skied in, posting her best finish at UVM, second overall. At the NCAA Championship, she earned her first All-American honor after finishing ninth on the giant slalom to land a spot on the second team.
Eric Charpentier | Men's Hockey | Engineering Sciences
Charpentier set new career highs in games played, goals, assists, and points while being seventh in the country with a +27 rating. The alternate captain scored four times from the blueline while adding nine assists. The Silver Spring, Md. native led Dartmouth with 58 blocks while having three multi-point games.
Áine Ley | Women's Rowing | English
Ley served as a team captain in her senior season, competing in all races with the varsity eight. With the Wayland, Mass., native competing in the fourth seat, the varsity eight had a highly successful season, securing a third-place finish at the Women's Eastern Sprints. Ley also earned First Team All-Ivy and Academic All-Ivy honors for her dedication on the water and in the classroom.
Cam MacDonald | Men's Hockey | Computer Science
MacDonald served as an alternate captain for the Big Green as Dartmouth won it's first ECAC Hockey Championship. The Surrey, B.C. native played in a career high 34 games while scoring six goals and added a career high 16 assists. The senior was a mainstay on the Dartmouth top line and finished with a +26 rating which was 10th in the country.
Oscar Zimmer | Men's Alpine Skiing | Economics
Zimmer had a dominant senior campaign for the Big Green, finishing on the podium in all six EISA slalom races, taking home the at St. Lawrence, UVM, and Williams. He also impressed on the giant slalom, earning three podium finishes and earning the sweep at UVM. He capped a stellar EISA circuit with an individual national championship at NCAAs, winning his first and the Big Green's first alpine individual championship since 2019. He took home two first-team All-America recognitions, finishing his Dartmouth career as a seven-time All-American.
Ava Carlson | Field Hockey | Computer Science
Carlson closed out her Dartmouth career by starting every game for the Big Green in goal. The Collingswood, N.J. native made 70 saves in just under 2200 minutes while having a career best .680 save percentage. Against Holy Cross on Oct. 14, she made three saves to secure her third career shutout.
Thomas Goguen | Men's Lacrosse | History
Goguen started in all 13 games for the Big Green while leading the team and Ivy League with 25 caused turnovers. The defender scooped up 40 groundballs which was 10th in the Ivy League. The Weston, Mass. native finishes his career with 141 ground balls and 74 caused turnovers in 49 games.
John Steel Hagenbuch | Men's Nordic Skiing | Government
Despite missing most of the EISA season to compete for Team USA in the Winter Olympics, Hagenbuch dominated in his five races representing the Big Green. He opened the season with a win in the St. Lawrence classic race before heading to Italy to represent his country. He returned just in time for the EISA Championship, posting wins in both the classic and freestyle races to help the Big Green to their second straight EISA Championship. At the National Championship, Hagenbuch won his third straight individual title, claiming the championship in the 7.5K classic race. He finished second in the 20K freestyle, coming home with two first team All-American honors, wrapping his career with eight total.
Caroline Kendall | Women's Lacrosse | Sociology
Kendall closed out her Dartmouth career by playing and starting all 15 games for the Big Green. The defender tallied her first career points this season for the Big Green. Against Wagner she scored both her first career goal while adding an assist. The Westwood, Mass. native caused eight turnovers this season while collecting a career high 17 ground balls.
Tyler Brand | Men's Golf | Economics
Brand played in eight tournaments in his junior season with the Big Green. He was named Academic All-Ivy after carding five top 15 finishes. His best finish came at the Columbia Autumn Invitational as he finished tied for fourth at -6. At the Ivy League Championship he finished tied for 14th at +10.
Sophie Thai | Women's Golf | Economics
Thai made nine starts in her final season in Hanover while winning the Kingsmill Intercollegiate as she finished -2. The Los Altos, Calif. native finished second at the Prospect Bay Invitational at +5. She was named All-Ivy for the third time in her career while being one of the best golfers in Dartmouth history. She finished her career with the most wins and birdies in program history.
Cally Dixon | Women's Hockey | History
Serving as captain for her senior campaign, Dixon continued to lead the Big Green, playing a majority of the games on the top line. She ranked second overall on the team in points (9) and was tied for the team lead in goals (5). Dixon scored two goals in Dartmouth's conference opening win over No. 9 Colgate before recording multiple points in an upset win on the road at Clarkson a week later, Dartmouth's first win inside Cheel Arena since 2011. SHe also scored the game winning goal in the regular season finale over RPI.
