
Murray And Lightweight Varsity 8 Named Final The Richards Group Athletes of the Week Of 2025-26

HANOVER, N.H.— Andie Murray of Dartmouth women's track & field and the Dartmouth lightweight rowing varsity 8 have been named the final The Richards Group Athletes of the Week for 2025-26.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes – one male athlete or team, one female athlete or team– as Athletes of the Week.
Andie Murray, Sr., Women's Track and Field, Allentown, NJ
Andie Murray finished her Big Green track and field career by racing in the 800m semifinals at the NCAA East First Round, finishing in eighth place with a time of 2:05.59. Murray is the first Dartmouth women's track and field student-athlete to advance to a semifinal since the 2023 outdoor season, and finished the year ranked 22nd regionally. She earned her spot in the event by finishing first in her quarterfinal heat with a time of 2:04.26. Murray clinched an Ivy League Title in the 800m and a spot in the NCAA regional last month with a 2:04.23 finish at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships.
Lightweight Rowing Varsity 8
Dartmouth's lightweight rowing team competed at the 2026 Intercollegiate Rowing Association's National Championship this past weekend, leading the Big Green to a third place team finish. The Varsity 8 rowed to a bronze medal in the grand final, taking home Dartmouth's first medal since 2012. The Big Green's third place finish as a team is now their second straight podium finish at the IRA National Championship.
