Owen Zalc Earns Seventh Ivy Special Teams Player of the Week Award

HANOVER, N.H. – Owen Zalc of the Dartmouth football team earned his seventh Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week award on Monday, Sept. 21.
Zalc went a perfect 2-for-2 on field goal attempts on Saturday, Sept. 19, when the Big Green faced #7 Lehigh in its season opener. Zalc's first field goal was from 50 yards out, and his second was 51 yards, which tied the Goodman Stadium record. He brought his career total to 41 field goals, which ties for fifth all-time in Ivy League history — he needs 11 to tie and 12 to pass the Ivy record of 52, set by Brown's Steve Morgan in 2007. In addition, Zalc went 2-for-2 on PATs.
He was honored as the Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week once as a first-year in 2023, three times as a sophomore in 2024, and twice as a junior in 2025.
Zalc is the FCS active career leader in field goals made-per-game (1.32) and ranks second among active players in made field goals (41).
