Honorary Wearers
In 1994, the designation of selected Dartmouth alumni, coaches and others as Honorary Wearers of the Green was established. At each Wearers induction, the Director of Athletics and Recreation and the Senior Vice-President for Advancement may choose, at their discretion, in consultation with others as they deem appropriate, to induct one or more individuals as Honorary Wearers of the Green. Such individuals must meet the following minimum criteria:
1.  Demonstrate a deep understanding and appreciation of the role of athletics in the Ivy League and at Dartmouth College.
2.  Make exceptionally generous contributions of time and/or financial resources that have made a significant impact on the College's athletic programs.
3.  Show a long-time commitment to a broad-based, equitable and high-quality program for Dartmouth's student-athletes.
