(1975, 1976, 1980, 1983, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2013, 2016) The 1986 and 1987 squads each finished second at the NCAA meet, the best results ever for an Ivy League team.
Traditions
- Trip to the Grant - During preseason the team travels to the Second College Grant in northern New Hampshire for several days of training, including the infamous Hell Gate tempo run.
- Intrasquad meet - the losers once had to.... Well, that tradition has been interrupted in the past few years, with good reason.
- Big Green Tent at Championship Events - parents, alumni, friends, and teammates gather to cheer the team and have plenty to eat and drink after the meet.
- Singing "Men of Dartmouth" after Heps victory.
- Post-Heps warhorse - words wouldn't do it justice.
- Tom Dent Dinner - The men and women come together for dinner, skits, and other merriment at the Tom Dent Cabin.
- Winning - the most important tradition at Dartmouth; the sweet smell of success is quite familiar to the Big Green.
