Originally given to Dartmouth’s best four-event skier in the college championships in honor of Otto Schniebs and John McCrillis. Due to increased specialization the Skimeister title is no longer awarded. Since 1974, with the endorsement of John McCrillis, this award has been presented annually to the alpine or cross country man who in the estimation of his teammates best embodies Otto Schniebs’ maxim that “Skiing is a Way of Life.”
