Directions to Heavyweight Crew Races
Directions to Dartmouth College Race Parking, Connecticut River, Hanover, NH
A shuttle bus will transport all spectators from the parking lot at the Dartmouth Rugby Clubhouse (9 Reservoir Road, Hanover, NH) to the spectator area near the finish line. No parking or drop-off is available at the spectator area.
The shuttle will depart the parking area at the Rugby Clubhouse 45 minutes before the first race with subsequent trips occurring approximately every 20 minutes. Dogs are not allowed on the shuttle or at the spectator area per our contractual agreement with the Town of Hanover.
Please be aware that the pedestrian access path to the spectator viewing area is relatively steep with a gravel surface. Even in the best of conditions, caution is required going down the incline and the return walk up the slope can be physically demanding.
From the North:
Take I-89 South to I-91 North from the Burlington, VT area, or take I-91 South from the St. Johnsbury, VT area. Take exit 13 off I-91 (Norwich/Hanover), and turn right toward Hanover. Go over the bridge and all the way up a big hill. This is West Wheelock Street. Continue through the light past Main Street and take your first left, which is at the far side of the green (onto Rt. 10 North). Stay on Rt. 10 North for about a mile and a half, until you come up another big hill and fields open up to the right and the golf course is on your left. Â At the rotary, take the first right onto Reservoir Road. The Dartmouth Day Care Center is approximately 0.3 miles on your right at 1 Reservoir Road)
From Southern New York and Western Massachusetts or Connecticut:
Take I-91 North to exit 13 (Norwich/Hanover Exit), follow above directions from exit.
From Upstate New York:
Take Rte 4 across Vermont, to I-89 South, then I-91 North to Exit 13. Follow above directions from exit.
From the South and Eastern New England:
Take I-89 North and take the RT-120 exit- exit number 18- Dartmouth College- towards LEBANON/HANOVER. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto NH-120 and continue for about 3.5 miles, through several lights. Continue straight through lights, onto South Park St. when you see the Co-op Mobil Station and Hanover Co-op directly on your right. Go through a blinking light, and then the next light, and then turn right at the next light, which is a T-intersection, onto Rt. 10 North. Continue on Rt. 10 North for about 3/4 of a mile, past the golf course on your left until you reach the rotary. Take the first right off the rotary onto Reservoir Road. The Dartmouth Day Care Center is approximately 0.3 miles on your right at 1 Reservoir Road.
