vs New Hampshire
Nice has experienced Ivy League football as both a player and coach, and his first season in Hanover helped Dartmouth earn a share of the conference crown for the first time in 19 years. As the running backs coach, he mentored an accomplished veteran group while incorporating younger legs into the rotation as they combined to average 4.86 yards per carry while scoring 14 touchdowns on the ground.
Nice spent the 2012-14 seasons on the Columbia Lions staff as the running backs coach while assisting with special teams. Prior to his stint there, he coached at the United States Merchant Marine Academy from 2008-11. In his first two years, he guided the quarterbacks and the wide receivers before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2010. During that time, the USMMA’s offense finished first or second in most major offensive categories, including scoring offense, first downs, and rushing in 2010, and rushing yards, yards per rush and yards per pass attempt in 2011.
Nice earned his bachelor’s degree in applied economics and management from Cornell in 2005. He was a three-year starter and letterwinner for the Big Red, playing running back, wide receiver and as a kick returner. He caught 43 passes for 652 yards and four touchdowns as a senior.
