After serving the 2014 season as the offensive quality control coach, Taylor was promoted to oversee the wide receivers for the 2015 campaign. The work he did in his first year in Hanover paid off as Dartmouth averaged over 30 points a game for the first time in 22 years.
Taylor’s work with the receivers in 2015 resulted in the BIg Green earning a share of the Ivy Leauge crown for the first time in 19 years. He coached the dynamic duo of Ryan McManus ’15 (All-Ivy First Team) and Victor Williams ’16 (second team) who combined to catch 111 passes for 1,443 yards and five touchdowns. Prior to the 2016 fall season, Taylor spent a week serving an internship at the Buffalo Bills preseason camp.
Before joining the Big Green staff, Taylor had a few stops in the college ranks, spending the 2013 season as the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Virginia State. He also served as the tight ends coach and travel coordinator for Saint Francis (Pa.) University for a year, and was on staff as an assistant to both the secondary coach and quarterbacks coach at Richmond in 2011.
Taylor also served as a quarterbacks coach at several Nike Football combines after playing one season at Bowie State in Maryland. He was forced to stop playing due to illness, helping him catch the coaching bug.
