Campbell Trophy, which recognizes the top football scholar-athlete in the country … recipient of the team’s Alan Hewitt ’34 and Robert Hewitt ’40 Award as the varsity player who best epitomizes athletic performance with academic achievement … graduated among the top 20 in program history in both receptions (19th, 75) and receiving yards (20th, 1,111) … led the squad with 409 receiving yards and his 26 catches was one shy of the team lead … opened the season by topping the team with four catches for 102 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown grab in a 41-0 blanking against Georgetown … had 76 yards (team-high) on five grabs the following week in a 34-14 win at Holy Cross … recorded his second 100-yard game of the season and fourth of his career with exactly 100 on five catches (both marks led the Big Green once again) in a 37-14 victory over Penn to start league play … also had his longest reception of the year against the Quakers, a 59-yard scoring strike to get a 21-point third quarter going to blow the game open … 47-yard haul at Yale set up the first Dartmouth score of the second half en route to a 41-18 triumph … showed off his arm at Columbia with a 21-yard touchdown toss to extend the lead to 15 early in the fourth quarter of an eventual 28-12 win over the Lions ... snared four passes against both Princeton and Brown with the last catch of his career being a 5-yard TD that gave the Big Green the lead for good against the Bears in a 49-7 romp.

Started first five games at wide receiver before missing most of the second half of the season with an injury … also served as the holder on field goals and PATs before his injury … caught first pass of the season against Holy Cross, and also had a 6-yard rush on a fake field goal versus the Crusaders … hauled in five passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns in the 28-27 victory over Yale, including the game-winning score with 34 seconds to play from 15 yards out … opened the next game by reeling in a 78-yard bomb on the first play from scrimmage at Sacred Heart … finished the day with three receptions for a career-best 126 yards, plus snared a two-point conversion pass in the 29-26 triumph over the Pioneers … returned for the season finale to catch a pair of passes for 15 yards as a reserve.
SOPHOMORE (2016) | Game-by-Game Stats
Emerged as the Big Green’s second-leading receiver during the season, grabbing 37 passes for 484 yards and two touchdowns … played in every game and had at least one reception in nine of the 10 contests … started the year quietly with four catches for 13 yards over the first two games, then exploded for a team-high 108 yards —23 coming on a touchdown — over eight receptions against Penn … had a 36-yard haul among his five catches for 77 yards at Yale, plus attempted a pass that was just broken up by a defender … caught the game-winning, 23-yard touchdown strike in the fourth quarter of the 20-17 triumph over Towson … had one catch during each of Dartmouth’s three touchdown drives against Harvard … led Big Green with six receptions in the 17-13 win at Cornell, collecting 63 yards in the process … recorded catches of 18 and 24 yards versus Brown … ended the season with team highs in receptions (6) and yardage (97) at Princeton, not to mention a season-long 53-yard bomb, plus had a 33-yard catch negated by a penalty.
FRESHMAN (2015)
Starred on the junior varsity as the leading receiver in both victories … hauled in nine passes for 160 yards with a 78-yard touchdown reception in the 35-3 win over Middlebury … caught nine more throws for 189 yards and three scores, including a 68-yard TD, as the jayvees blanked Williams, 42-0.
HIGH SCHOOL
All-state defensive back and all-district wide receiver as a senior … team MVP final year … captained football and track teams as a senior … helped football to TAAPPS area championship and regionals as a sophomore, plus area and regional titles as a junior … also lettered in basketball as a sophomore shooting guard …all-state selection in 4x400 relay on track … also lettered in baseball.

Full name is Andrew Scott Hunnicutt … born on Jan. 29, 1997 … son of Mike and Jennifer Hunnicutt has one brother and one sister … father played wide receiver at Texas Tech in the early ’90s and grandfather William Hunnicutt at North Texas … enjoys hiking … traveled to El Salvador on spring break mission trips twice in high school … brother started second grade when he arrived at Dartmouth.
