Truncali joined the Dartmouth Athletics staff on Aug. 28, 2023 after serving as the associate director of strength and conditioning at Notre Dame. She co-leads the Big Green’s strength and conditioning department with Holekamp Family Director of Strength and Conditioning Spencer Brown, working closely with both the men's and women's basketball teams.
In her most recent role at Notre Dame, Truncali served as the direct manager for full-time assistant strength and conditioning coaches. She also was responsible for all aspects of strength and conditioning for Notre Dame’s men’s soccer and women’s lacrosse programs.
Prior to a promotion in 2021, she was an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Fighting Irish for three years. Truncali worked with Notre Dame’s volleyball, men’s golf and baseball programs and served as the coordinator for the department’s internship program.
While in South Bend, Indiana, Truncali made an impact outside of her duties in the strength and conditioning department. She created an athletics advocacy group for LGBTQAI+ student-athletes and was a member of Notre Dame’s Athletics Inclusion and Diversity Board.
Before arriving at Notre Dame, Truncali spent time as the assistant director of strength and conditioning at Marshall University, where she covered strength and conditioning duties for the women’s basketball, men’s soccer and tennis programs. She also gathered experience at Belmont University, UNC Chapel Hill and UConn in various roles.
Truncali earned a Bachelor of Science in exercise science with a minor in psychology from Endicott College. She went on to earn a Master of Science in sport administration from Belmont University and a master’s of high performance sport from Australian Catholic University. Truncali is certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
