JUNIOR (2024-25): Competed in four fall regattas, starting the season with first place in the B Division at the Toni Deutsh ’58 Trophy… Finished the fall season with third place at the Oberg Trophy… All seven spring regattas were top ten finishes… Highest finishes were third at the Georgetown Women’s Team Race and the NEISA Women’s Team Race Championship.
Sophomore (2023-24): Sailed in three regattas during the fall and four in the spring ... Secured three straight third-place finishes in the spring, followed by a fourth place finish.
First-year (2022-23): Competed in four regattas for the Big Green ... Was a member of the only team to beat Roger Williams, the winner of the Thames River Race ... Placed fourth at the Harvard Team Race.
Before Dartmouth: Grew up sailing through Courageous Sailing’s community youth program and spent four years teaching for the program... Played varsity soccer at Lexington High School and for club team FC Stars ECNL Regional... Earned the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Award of Academic Excellence by having one of the top three GPAs in her class... Has played the violin since third grade, served as president of Lexington High School's chamber orchestra, and has played in NEC Prep orchestras.
Personal: Daughter of Kai Zhao and Mingzhu Liu… Has one brother who is a Dartmouth '28… Enjoys lifting, painting, volunteering in the emergency department, spending time in the Makerspace, and trying new things in her free time... Plans to pursue a career in medicine... A Human Biology major & Computer Science minor.
