Siobhan Gilmore joined Dartmouth Athletics in July of 2026 as an Assistant Director of Strategic Communications.Â
Gilmore started her athletic communications career as a student at Emmanuel College, where she graduated with a degree in writing, editing and publishing with minors in communication and gender studies. She interned at Simmons University, where she created in-game content for multiple sports, inputted live statistics, created and updated student athlete-biographies, updated season records and helped with the set-up and break down of equipment at each home game.Â
In July 2023, Gilmore returned to Connecticut and was named the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Southern Connecticut State University. For three years, she was the primary contact for women's volleyball, women's basketball and women's lacrosse. Gilmore was responsible for assigning student workers to games and mentoring the student workers about the various gameday roles. In addition, she updated student-athlete biographies, created season record books, designed graphics for multiple teams for final scores and gamedays, edited game clips for highlight videos, nominated players for the weekly honor rolls and produced games on production truck.
Gilmore was instrumental with inputting and spotting for in-game statistics, specifically for volleyball, football, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, women's and men's basketball and women's lacrosse. She recorded the statistics for all of the games at the 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball East Regional, hosted by Southern Connecticut. In addition, she managed the scorer's table for every home game for volleyball and both basketball teams, as she communicated with each of the timekeepers, scorekeeper, coaches and officials about important game information.
