Bio
Senior (2016): Appeared in 12 sets throughout her senior year before getting sidelined with an injury … was fourth on the team with 61 assists … also had four service aces and 20 digs … had double-digit assists in all but one of her four matches.
Junior (2015): Saw action in 64 sets as a junior … had six kills, a .238 hitting percentage and 15 blocks … was second on the team with 436 assists and sixth with 105 digs and ended the year with 26.5 points … had a season-high 58 assists in the 3-2 win over Harvard … recorded four double-doubles in digs and assists throughout the season.
Sophomore (2014): Appeared in 85 of the team’s 93 sets throughout her sophomore season … was fourth among the Big Green with 162 digs, third with 17 aces and first with 492 assists … had a season-high 51 assists against Princeton … registered over 20 assists 12 times throughout the season … recorded a season-best 17 digs at Brown.
Freshman (2013): Made a splash during her first year on campus registering a team-high 852 assists in 93 sets for the Big Green, which is the ninth best single-season performance in program history and left her at No. 8 on the school's all-time assist list … registered the second-highest assist total in a single game with 70 against Princeton … registered 50 or more assists in a match four times … had a season-high 22 digs against Cornell … produced five service aces against Brown.
Before Dartmouth: Benton was part of two Utah State 4A Championship teams and two Arizona State Championship Division II runner-up squads, earning all-state and all-conference honors … she was a key member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2012 United States Junior National Volleyball Championship … during her senior season, she led the state with 148 aces.
Personal: Stacey Ann Benton is the daughter of Michael and Janet Benton … she has two brothers and one sister … father played soccer at Santa Clara and mother played volleyball and basketball at the same school.
