Colleen Carr has been named Dartmouth’s assistant athletics director for facilities and operations. She joins the Big Green from the Ivy League office, where she worked from November 2021 to 2026. She started as Events and Administrative Coordinator and was promoted to Assistant Executive Director, Events & Administration, in November 2023. In that role, she oversaw the planning and execution of Ivy League championships and governance-level meetings across all eight member institutions. She coordinated venues, schedules, and staff, served as a liaison to institutional leaders, NCAA officials, and Division I commissioners, and directed office operations and executive communications.
Before moving into administration, Carr was head coach of women’s rugby at Long Island University (2019-2021), where she helped the program move from Division II to Division I and earn its first Division I victory. She spent the five years before that (2014-2019) as an assistant rugby coach at Quinnipiac University, where the Bobcats won three NIRA national championships. In 2014-2015, she worked as an athletic trainer at Yale University, supporting a variety of sports, including football. She is a graduate of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy (Class 41).
Carr graduated from Quinnipiac in 2014 with a degree in athletic training. She was a four-year captain and starter on the program’s inaugural rugby team, the 2012-2013 team MVP, and a three-time Bobcat Award recipient.
Carr and her husband, Elliott, have a son, Leon.
