Jill Kochanek joined the DP2 staff in January of 2026 as the newest assistant director for leadership and mental performance.
Prior to Dartmouth, Kochanek spent four years at Springfield College, working in the department of physical and health education and serving as the director of the Athletic Leadership masters program. Kochanek oversaw curriculum design, faculty collaboration, and student mentorship for the program.
In 2024, Kochanek earned the Paper of the Year Award in the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology.
Kochanek earned her bachelors degree from Amherst College in 2012 before receiving her Masters of Science in Kinesiology with a sport psychology concentration from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2017. She then went on to earn her doctorate from Michigan State in 2021.
Kochanek will move to the Dartmouth area with her wife and two dogs.
