Luke Chmiel joins the Dartmouth Athletics staff bringing a diverse and dynamic background in collegiate and professional sports marketing, event operations, and fan engagement.
Chmiel currently serves as a Graduate Assistant in Marketing for Seton Hall University Athletics, where he supports marketing campaigns, gameday promotions, and fan engagement initiatives across the department's full slate of varsity programs. In this role, he has helped develop gameday and video board scripts, coordinated in-arena promotions and spirit team activities, served as emcee for on-court activations, and supported ticket sales and donor relations efforts for the Athletics Department.
Chmiel's national event experience includes serving as a Spirit Squad Team Host during the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, where he served as the primary point of contact for Arizona University's Spirit Squads during East Regional competition at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, coordinating logistics through the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight rounds.
From 2023 to 2025, Chmiel worked as a Merchandising Intern for the United States Golf Association (USGA) at three U.S. Open Championship sites — Los Angeles Country Club, Pinehurst, and Oakmont — where he supported retail operations across venues exceeding 35,000 square feet in combined space, helped manage inventories of more than 400,000 items generating multimillion-dollar sales, and built relationships with sales representatives from over 50 partner brands.
Prior to his graduate studies, Chmiel worked as a Ticket Services Representative for the Philadelphia Phillies during the 2023 season, supporting group and season-ticket sales, fan services, and gameday operations, and served for two years as a practice player for the Saint Joseph's University Women's Basketball program, contributing to scout-team preparation and gaining direct experience in program operations under the coaching staff.
Chmiel holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing, with a minor in Leadership, Ethics, and Organizational Sustainability, from Saint Joseph's University (2024). He is currently completing his Master of Business Administration in Sports Management at Seton Hall University, expected in 2026.
