Miranda Waterman joined Dartmouth Athletics in May of 2026 as an assistant director of strategic communications.
Waterman began her career in athletics as a student at Elmira College. There, she served as a sports information intern focusing on creative and digital media for three years. While at Elmira, she also earned her bachelor’s degree in media, communications, and design, and psychology, graduating in May of 2025.
From February to August of 2024, Waterman spent time in Jamestown, N.Y. while she served as the social media manager for the Jamestown Tarp Skunks. In here role, she managed all of the Tarp Skunks' social media, produced graphics, crafted specialty photo and video content, and led a team of creatives.
In August of 2025, Waterman went on to serve as a graduate assistant in athletic communications at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. There, she served as the primary contact for rowing, women’s soccer, men’s ice hockey, men’s basketball, and men’s and women’s lacrosse. Waterman also had her hand in creative and digital media as well, covering photo and video for various sports. While at Mercyhurst, Waterman also earned her master’s degree in organizational leadership.
