Stacey Bridges serves as the Assistant Athletics Director for DP2/Academics at Dartmouth College, where she is dedicated to providing comprehensive academic support to student-athletes across 35 varsity sports teams. With a strong commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes, Bridges collaborates closely with campus partners to offer academic programming and workshops that foster growth both on and off the field.
Bridges’ extensive background in rugby as both a player and coach brings a unique and valuable perspective to her current role. She previously served as an assistant coach with the Dartmouth women’s rugby team, where she contributed to the team's success, helping lead the Big Green to three Divisional (DI) Championships and five Ivy titles during her seven-season tenure.
Bridges was a member of the USA Women’s National Rugby Team from 2006 to 2022. She represented the team in the 2010 and 2017 World Cups and is one of the most capped players in USA Women’s Rugby history. Her outstanding contributions to the sport earned her the distinction of Player of the Decade (2010–2020).
In addition to her athletic career, Bridges is a key figure in the establishment of the Women’s Elite Rugby (WER) league, the first professional women’s rugby league in the United States. Her leadership in this groundbreaking initiative involved crucial contributions to organizational restructuring, strategic planning, and operational development.
Bridges is currently pursuing a M.A. in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College. She also holds an M.S. in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at El Paso and a B.S. in Kinesiology with a minor in Sport Psychology from Texas A&M University.
