Stuart Maeder, a 2015 graduate and two-time team captain for the Dartmouth heavyweight rowing team, is entering his third year as an assistant coach in 2017-18.
In the newly created position, Maeder is in charge of heading up the freshmen and novice group for the fall, as well as supporting the program's recruiting efforts.
Maeder began his rowing career at Wilson High School in Washington D.C. and was a member of the U.S. Junior National Team in 2011 in the men's coxed four. At Dartmouth, Stuart rowed in the freshman eight in his first season in Hanover, then raced in the Varsity Eight for every race of his final three years with the Big Green.
Over the summer of 2015, he represented the U.S. at the Under-23 World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where he and his partner finished 11th overall in the men's pair.
