HANOVER, N.H. - - Senior wide receiver Jay Barnard caught seven passes for 85 yards and one touchdown, helping Dartmouth defeat Princeton, 21-15, in the Ivy's season finale on Saturday.
The win vaulted the Big Green into a four-way tie for second place. Penn claimed the 2003 Ivy title, while Brown, Yale, Harvard and Dartmouth all finished at 4-3 on the year.
The Tigers (2-8 overall, 2-5 Ivy) took a 9-0 lead with less than six minutes to go in the second quarter hen Derek Javarone booted field goals of 24, 36 and 26 yards.
Javarone, who came into the game three-of-seven in field goals, finished a perfect five-for-five on the day, tying the record for most field goals in an Ivy game.
With 40 seconds left in the second quarter, Dartmouth's Tyler Lavin nailed a 38 yarder for a 9-3 score at halftime.
