HANOVER, N.H. -- Playing for the third time in six days, Dartmouth men's basketball fell to the University of Vermont, 77-46, on Wednesday night.
Although the Big Green's Michael Giovacchini (Salt Lake City, Utah) had 10 points, but Dartmouth couldn't find an answer to the Catamounts' offense which clicked for 64.4 percent from the floor.
Four UVM players were in double figures including Martin Klimes with 19 points. Vermont made 29 of 45 shots from the floor, including 10 of 16 beyond the arc.
Vermont's record went to 4-5, while Dartmouth slipped to its fifth straight loss.
For the Big Green, now 1-6 on the year, junior Leon Pattman (Memphis, Tenn.) and sophomore Chuck Flynn (Indianapolis, Ind.) each had six rebounds. Pattman also contributed seven points. Sophomore Paul Bode (Raleigh, N.C.) had eight points.
Dartmouth breaks for the holiday before reuniting in Albuquerque, N.M. Competing at the Comcast Lobo Invitational, the Big Green takes on host New Mexico on Wednesday, December 28 in the tournament's opening round.
