PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Despite outshooting Brown, 27-12, the Dartmouth women's hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to the Bears in Meehan Auditorium Friday night.
Brown, 3-4 overall, 2-1 in ECACHL play, got what proved to be the gamewinner just 24 seconds into the contest when Hayley Moore scored. With 3:29 left in the first period, Heather Lane made it 2-0 for the Bears.
Dartmouth was shutout for the third straight game. In the nets, senior goaltender Kate Lane made 10 saves. Brown's Stacy Silverman stopped all 27 shots she faced, including 12 in the third period. For the Bears, Myria Heinhuis had two assists.
Dartmouth, 3-4 overall, 1-4 in ECACHL play, is back in action on Saturday, traveling to Yale.
