Dartmouth Men's Cross Country Ranked 17th Nationally
HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's cross country team checks in at the 17th spot in the first Division 1 poll released by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Big Green, who won the 2005 Heps/Ivy championship, is the only Ivy League school ranked. Dartmouth picked up 205 points, just three away from 16th-ranked Ohio State with 208.
Defending NCAA champion Wisconsin holds down the top spot with 450 points.
A committee of NCAA Division 1 coaches determines the weekly USTFFCCA rankings.
Last year, Dartmouth was ranked as high as 15th.
